The Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK just proposed a new set of rules for social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. The proposal addresses the issue of data privacy for users under 18.  In the US, Senators Mark Warner and Deb Fischer presented a bill against ‘dark patterns’ and ‘deceptive design' which could possibly change the way tech companies like Google and Facebook design their digital products. Possibly new code of conduct for how social media platforms and other apps serve their users.
